authorized and directed to execute an amendment to the
consultant agreement dated �iugust 10, 1974, between

Dear Councilmen:
The City Attorney' s office is su�nitting a resolution
for your consideration that provides for an extension
of the Labor Consultant Agreement the City had with
Mr. Nathan Lipson.
The original agreement was dated August 10, 1973 and
stated that it would not exceed a period of 12 months.
Apparently, at the time the agreement was entered into,
it was anticipated that the need for Mr. Lipson' s
services would be ended by mid-August of 1974. However,
as matters have developed, he is still rendering
consultant services to the City and will be for an
indeterminate time as to 1974 labor matters.
There is no authorization for Mr. Lipson to be paid
beyond mid-August, 1974, and the passage of the attached
resolution will grant the authority for the performance
of addition services and payment thereof.
Of course, the amendment provides that the work in
1974 labor matters must be authorized and approved
by the administration as a control of services performed.
