1 WHEREAS, Ttie City of Saint Paul has received numerous complaints regazding odor emissions from Gopher State
2 Ethanol, and;
3 WHEREAS, the odor is offensive whenever there aze emission releases but particularly when weather pattems hold
4 the emissions close to the ground or do not disperse the emission effectively high enough into the air, and;
5 WHEREAS, the current court enforced agreement does not effecfively address the odor issues to the efFect that
6 neighbors can enjoy the same quality of life that other Saint Paul residents enjoy; now therefore be it
7 RESOLVED, that the City Attorneys Office is directed to update the 5aint Paul City Council on progress made to
8 date on odor control measures that need to be in place immediately to relieve residents, and be it
9 FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorneys Office present the update at the February 13, 2001 City Council
10 meeting.
