RE: Council Resolution - Fund Transfer
The attached resolution is intended to provide the necessary ad-
ditional funds in the Civil Service Budget for 1974 for various
items which were deleted or not anticipated in their budget, as
follows:
a. Fees - Board Members
This item was in your proposed budget but was deleted
by the Council. It provides for the per diem fees
of the Civil Service Commission Members.
b. Salaries - Professional
The Council removed several professional positions
which had been in your recommended budget. Tnstead of
removing the dallar amount for new positions, they .
removed the dollar amount for existing positions which
has caused a shortage in the amount indicated.
c. The last four items of this resolution are necessary
costs which have already been incurred by Civil 5ervice
to provide for the special examination process, forms
and tests for Police and Fire examinations. These have
been paid out of their current appropriation but the
supplement is needed to provide for their regular operations.
