1 WHEREAS, the Ciry established a wage policy for the City's nonrepresented management
2 and legislative personnel in Council Resolution� No. 96-187 as amended by Council Resolution
3 No. O1-1222; and
4 WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the City as a whole to have an harmonious
5 employment relauonslup for such nonrepresented management and legislative personnel; and
6 WHEREAS, the nonrepresented management and legislative personnel appointed by Mayor
7 Randy Kelly to a new position or to a different title, and begiiming work on or after January 1,
8 2002 are covered by said policy; now, therefore, be it
9 RESOLVED, the effective date of the wage increase established in the policy for
10 nonrepresented management and legislative personnel appointed by Mayor Kelly to a new or to
11 a different title and beginning work on or after January 1, 2002 will be the same as the
12 effective date in the City's 2002-2003 agreement with the International Association of Fire
13 Fighters, AFL-CIO Loca121.

Mayor Appointees to Non-Represented positions were appointed at salary levels commensurate with their duties and
responsibilities without knowledge these individuals would be eligible for a Retroactive Salary Adjustment per Council Resolution
No. 96-187. �
I�dividuals appointed by the Mayor and beginning on or after January 1, 2002 to a new poskion will receive a salary adjustment
going forward but not receive a retroactive adjustment. Salary levels wili 6e maintained corresponding to duties and
