i WHEREAS, a Qualifications and Examiiring Committee was established to determine the
2 qualifications of applicants for the position of Human Resources D'uector of the City of Saint Paul
3 pursuant to Section 12.12.1 of the City Charter; and
4 WHEREAS, the Examining Committee has completed its process and has submitted five names
5 of applicants for the position of Human Resources Director to the Mayor for selection; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has selected Angela Nalezny from this list of applicants to be appointed
to the position of Human Resources Director; now, therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, that the Counci] of the City of Saint Paul hereby approves and ratifies the appointment
9 of Angela Nalezny as Human Resources Director of the City of Saint Paul effective Monday,
10 October 21, 2002.

In accordance with the process for selection and appointment of a Human Resources Director as set forth in the
City Charter in Sections 12.12.1 through 12.12.3, the Mayor has made a selection from the five (5) eligible
candidates certified to the Mayor by the examining committee.

Charter selection and appointment process.
