Dear Mayor Cohen:
The Long-Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, at its January 29, 1974
meeting was presented with a request to transfer $200,000 to the Oxford
Swimming Pool .
t The request had the previous approval of the City Administrator and the
Budget Director.
The CIB Committee voted unanimously to:
"Recommend to the Mayor and City Council that $200,000 be
allocated to the Oxford Swimming Pool project by transferring
$110,000 from the 1971 CIB project account Battle Creek
Athletic Field and by transferring $90,000 from the 197
project account Como Avenue Curbs and Resurfacing."
The Battle Creek Athletic Field project is located within the Battle
Creek flood plain outside of the city limits and is being delayed because
of the need for watershed district legislation.
The Como Avenue Curbs and Resurfacing is being postponed because the
master plan for Cano Avenue has not been completed and will not be ready
for implementation before 1975.
Both projects will be resubmitted for CIB funding at a time when the
delays are resolved and construction is possible.
The necessary Council Resolution is being prepared and should arrive
for your consideration within a couple of days.
Sincerely,
