Presented By Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date An Administrative Ordinance approving the terms and conditions of a "Memorandum of Understanding" applying to the "Confidential Employees" of the City of Saint Paul. WHEREAS, The Council, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12. 09 of the Saint Paul City Charter and. the "Public Employees Labor Relations Act", recognizes the employees in the confidential group shall be those employees defined as "Confidential Employees" in Section 179. 63, Subdivision 8, of the Minne s ota Statute s; and WHEREAS, The City through its designated representatives has met and conferred in order to establish the economic terms and conditions of employment for the calendar year of 1974 for such personnel, as are set forth in the "Memoranduxn of Understanding"; now, therefore THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That the "Memoranduxn of Understanding" dated as of the effective date of this Ordinance, on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby .approved and the authorized administrative officials of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute said "Memorandum of Understa.nding" on behalf of the City. Section 2. That all the terms and conditions set forth in said "Memorandum of Understanding" shall be in force and effect on the first pay period for the City employees in the ye�.r 1974. Section 3. That any other Ordinance, rule or regulation in force when said agreement takes effect, inconsistent with any provisions of the terms and conditions of said agreement, is hereby repealed. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days after its passage, approval and publication. A salary increase of 7. 5% (Seven and one-half percent), except that the title and position of City Administrator, City Attorney, and Deputy City Attorney shall receive a salary increase of 5. 5% (Five and one-half percent). 2. An improvement in the vacation schedule in the following categories: (a) For those employees with at least fifteen (15) years, but less than twenty-five (25) years' service, add one day paid vacation to present schedule. (b) For those employees with twenty-five (25) years or more of servi.:ce, add two days' paid vacation to present schedule. 3. Modify the sick leave conversion to vacation policy, to allow eligibility for conversion when 180 days have been accumulated. (Re�laces present 200-day requireinent). 4, Add $1, 000. 00 (One .Triousand Dollars) to severance pay allowance. (Severance allot,��ance will now become $4, 000. 00 (Four Thousand �ollar s). � �.
