W�S, The City of St. Pau1, acting through its Valuation Engineer,
has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certain property described.
as follaws;
The southeasterly 13 ft of Lots 11 and 12, Block 4,
Ca:ty of St Pau1;
Also, that part of lot 13, Block �+, City of S� Pa.ul
lying southerly of a line extending fram the most
easterly corner of said lot 13 to a point in the
southwesterly line of sa.id Lot 13 dista.nt 13 ft
northwester]�y from the most southerly corner of
said lot 13, and there ter�inating.
WI�S, The property described herein is necessary for the improvement
of SIXTH STREET from Ma.nnesota Street to 180 feet east (North side), a.s approved
by Administrative Order No. D-1158, dated March 13, 197�+, and the price at which
the property may be purcha.sed is in the amount of ��+9,690.00, being a fair and
reasonabl.e price accord.ing to the City V�lua:tion Ez�ineer; and
WI�REAS, The City Valua.tion Engineer`�ha� recommended the purchase of said
property at the price stated above; now, therefore, be it --W �
REaOLVED, Tha.t the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize
the purchase of the above described land; and be it
FURTI�t RESOLVED� That the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay Twin C�.ty Federa.l Savings and Loan Association, record fee
�rner, the sum of $�+g,6go.OQ. Said sum to be p�id from PIR Fund Code 60000-7�+5-
000, to be rei.mbursed fram the Public Works Contingency Fund. The pa.yment to be
made upon the City being furnished evidenee of good marketa.ble title in the
aforesaid vendors, and the total payment to be made upon tender by said party of
appropriate deeds conveying title to said property to the City of St. Pa.ul.

Pursuant to Administrative Order D-1158, dated N�rch 13, 197�+, and Final
Order, C. F. 2638�+7, approved Ju1y 11, 1g''(�+, authorizing and directing
this office to acquire property necessary for the subject improvement,
I have secured. an agreement with Lauis Meyers, Senior Vice President of
Twin City Federal Savings and Loan Association, for purchase of said
property, as described on the atta.ched Couneil Resolution, for compensation
in the amount of $49,690.00 which in �y opinion is a fair and reason�,ble
price.
I recommend approval of the authorization of the purchase of said property
in lieu of condemnation at the said price of $49,6go.00, and submit here-
with, for your approva.l and submission to the City C ' , a resolution
authorizing said purchase.
