WHEREAS� John H. Larson, a Policeman folr the City of
Saint Paul since April 1� i968, at the age o�f 31 years�
died in pursuanee of his duties as a poliee �officer for
the City of Saint Paul on the 10th day of A�gust, 1974;
and ,
WHEREAS� said John H. Larson, who was orn in Saint
Paul on June 20� ig43, a graduate of Cretin�High Sohool
and the University of Minnesota� has served ,h�s Country�
with the United States Air Foree, and servec� the City of
Saint Paul for the last six years with dist�.netion and
honor; and !
WHEREAS� his family and his many friends and fellow
afficers have� by reason of his premature a d tragic death�
. experieneed a tremendous impact of shoek an grief and a
sense of irreparable loss and deprivation; nd —
WI�REAS, the people of Saint Paul have � lost an able
public servan�� his family has lost a lovin ' husband an.d � ,
fatner, brother and son, and his fellow off cers have loat
a loyal friend� now� therefore � be it
RESOLVED, that we, the members of the �ity Coun.eil oY
the City of Saint Paul� extend to Barbara� �vidow of said
John H. Larson, and to his children and par�nts� and other
members of his bereaved family, our deep ,an�. heartfelt
sympathy in this� the hour of their bereave�nent; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED� that the City Glerk �s hereby
authorized and directed to cause a oopy of �this Reaolution
to be prepared and delivered to said Barbar�, Larson� with
all convenient speed.
