RE: Resolution - Transfer of Funds for Communi'ty Services
Dear Mayor Cohen:
Attached to this letter is a Council Resolution' which will
permit the transfer of $6,000 from the Contingent Reserve-
General to the Department of Community Serviceg - Administration.
The purpose of this transfer is to provide the ,necessary funds
for the Department of Community Services to emgloy one (1)
additional accountant in their administrative/alccounting unit.
I am in complete agreement with Mr. Kelley in �he justification
and need for this position. I have also reviev�ed this matter
with Frank Marzitelli, Robert Trudeau, and Cle�ens Schleck and
have their complete concurrence for the necessity of this
position. '�

To further justify this position, I would indi�ate that this
employee will be reporting directly to Mrs. Be�ty Atchison and
will be assisting her in the myriad of account ng and budgeting
responsibilities which are so essential if we �re to adequate-�
ly maintain the accounting and budgeting opera�ions in this
major department. In addition to this, this pfrson will be
assisting in the development of new accounting and budgeting
controls, and in this regard will be working u�der joint
direction from the Department of Finance and M�nagement Services
and Budget Director. i
For these reasons, I recommend establishment o� this position
and ask that you give it your support as you submit if for action
by the City Council. ;
