BUILDING
Attention: Mr. Roger Mattson, Budget Director
Dear Mayor Cohen:
I am submitting a budget for refuse collection for i975 based on the present
day 13 City crew operation. Total estimated cost is $920,734.00. Total
estimated revenues at present rates is $641 ,961 .60 and the subsidy for quali-
fying units is $193,463.40, a total of $835,380.00. I am, therefore, suggest-
ing a rate increase of $. 10 per unit.
Suggested new rates are as fotlows:
Subsidized Unit Rate $ .45 per week
1 Unit Dwelling 1 . 10 per week
2 Unit Owelling 1 .70 per week
3 Unit Dwelling 2.30 per week
4 Unit Dwelling 2.90 per week
The rates will raise estimated revenues of $727,271 .00. This estimated amount
plus the estimated subsidy amount ($193,463.00) will provide $920,734.00 for
the operation in 1975•
I have attached a resolution setting a hearing on these new rates and an
ordinance which sets the rates. Will you please process these, if you approve
of these new rates.
Yo s very ruly, .
