WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul was faced with an increased
demand for services and limited fina.ncial resources for the year 1975; and
WHEREAS, The responsibilities of the Chairman of the Finance Co�ittee
are extra-ordinary; and
WHEREAS, Councilma.n Robert Sylvester was appointed Chairman of the
Council's Finance Committee and charged with�;the responsibility of
managing the deliberations on the P4ayor's pxoposed budget for 1975; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of Saint Paul does
laud the efforts of Councilman Sylvester, not only for his thoroughness
in researching the requests of the various city departments and his
recognition of citizen input, but also for his sense of humor in dealing
with this most difficult assignment.
