WHIItEAS, The Council for the City of Saint Paul has provided. for a comprehensive
Health and Welfare Insurance Program for city employees and employees oP Independent School
District �625, as provided for under Council File No. 231269, as amended and
WHIItEAS, The present hospitalization coverage is provided by Blue Cross and Blue
Shield of' 1Minnesota and the present medical-surgical coverage is provided by Minnesota Indem-
nity, Incorporated and
WHEREAS, The proposed premiums submitted prior to September 1, 1q75 for the year_
1976 pursuant to the contract, exceed.ed 20� and, therefore, the City pursuant to statute let
out the coverage provided by these contracts for bid, and
WHgtEAS, The Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Minnesota is the low bidder to provide this

WHEREAS, the Health and Welfare Insur�,nce Advisory Commi.ttee has reviewed the above
proposed rates and recommnends that they be accepted, now therefore be it
RTSOLVID, That the contracts for the Hospital coverage and Medical Surgical coverage
to be identical to the coverages now provided under the existing contracts be awarded to Blue
