Fau1, Mn. 55105 January 1�, 1976 Cit� of St. Paul St. Yaul City Council Attention: Ms. Rose i�Iix, County Clerk In response to the notification of a public hearing in the Council Chambers of the City t1a11 and Court House, 10 a.m., January 6, 1976 at which time the City of St. Paul proposes to assess the benefits arisi.ng from construction concrete Curb on east side of Victoria St. from Linwood to Osceola, C0512, which work has been canpleted at the cost of �1,682.36. As the owners of Lot 5 - Noble's Ftearrangement of Lots 12, 13, and 1la., Blk. 13 Summit ;ark, we are assessed $282.36. The afcse mentioned property contains 1.�I�, foot of frontage. This would amount to approxi- mately $6.l�3 a foot and represents an increase of 24� over the proposed �5.85 a foot. This increase, was charged without due notification. Before construction of curb, we sent a letter (which is on f ile) � objecting to the Cost of $5,85 because it was noted by us the same work was being done in the city for l�;�s. We �'eel very strongly tha� the construction of this curb, without a gutter, is just too much � for too little. �Iay we suggest that you consider this appeal for a more realistic assessment. The curbing has no gutter but curbing only and really does not help the drainage situation as was inferred. For �449.22 I feel that I should have had a more useful curbing and gutter.
