WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Council File #00-232 dated Mazch 8, 2000, said Resolution
being the authorization necessary to the approval for specially assessing for a fire protection system for
867 Pierce Butler Route/811 Victoria Street North; and
WHEREAS, said properry is legally described as follows:
Registered Land Survey 522, Tract B,
with a property identification number of 26-29-23-34-0025; and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property has decided not to use City financing for the fire protection
system and requests the pending assessment be removed from the property.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Resolution, Council File #00-232 be rescinded and
the pending assessment be removed from the property.

1 WHEREAS, the Council has received a petition from Froa own Action Alliance for specially assessin�
2 costs for a fire protection system for 867 Pierce Butler Route; and
4 WHEREAS, said petition meets the requirements of Minnesota Statutes 429 and the City policy on
5 assessing costs for fire protection systems; and
7 WHEREAS, the CounciI has fulIy considered and reviewed the petition and policy; now, therefore, be it
9 RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the above described
10 improvement be made, and the proper City officials are hereby directed to proceed with the
11 improvement; and be it

13 FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon completion of said improvement, the proper City officials shall
14 calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with
15 Chapter 429 of the Minnesota Statutes and the fire protection system policy; and be it
16
17 FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor
18 and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that the Capital Improvement
19 Budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council is hereby further amended in the following
20 particuIaz:
