August 2i, 1975 PIERRE N. REGNIER
Honorable President and
Members of the Council of the City of Saint Paul
The City Attorney was requested to prepare resolution of
the City Council providing that notices of sidewalk con-
struction or reconstruction be mailed only to property
owners whose property would be receiving either a new
sidewalk or reconstructed sidewalk and, therefore, notices
would not have to be mailed to adj.oining property owners
whose sidewalk does not need replacement.
I have discussed this with J. William Donovan, Valuation
Engineer, and Hartley Thomas, Public Works 5idewalk
Construction Engineer, and they both indicated that this
proposed Council policy would not be difficult for them
to comply with and that from their standpoint they would
have no objection to this proposal.
Enclosed is draft resolution as requested by the City
Council.
