WHEREAS, bids have been duly received and opened for the construction of a
bicycle path along Shepard Road from Trunk Highway 5 to Elway Street, all in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the agency agreement between the
City of St. Paul and the Conmissioner of Htghways of the State of Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works of the City of St. Paut has duly
considered said bids and has determined that the lowest bid was submitted by a
responsible bidder and further does recorr�nend acceptance of said bid; and
WHEREAS, the engineering estimate was $61 ,750.00, now,therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of St. Paul does hereby recommend to
the Commissioner of Highways that said lowest bid, being the sum of $52,388.05,
as submitted by Total Asphalt Company, a responsible bidder, be accepted for
the construction of said project.
