Thank you for your memorandum of June 19, 1975, in which you indicated that
the Mayor would recommend Midwest Federal Savings and Loan Association to be
one of the two savings and loan associations represented on this committee.
I concur with the Mayor's position in this matter and would suggest that the
individual from Midwest Federal could possibly be Mr. Ra.lph G. Schroepfer,
Assistant Vice President.
The second opening for a savings and loan association, I believe, should be
filled by a savings and loan which has its home office in Saint Paul. Therefore,
I would recommend that the Mayor appoint Minnesota Federal Savings and Loan
Association to be this representative. The person from Minnesota Federal who
I believe would be most appropriate to fill this position would be Mr. John A.
Hoffner, Vice President.
I believe that these two appointments would provide us with good input from the
savings and loan associations and would provide us also with representation from
one which has its home office in Saint Paul and one which has branch offices in
Saint Paul, with its home office in Minneapolis.
Based upon this recommendation, I have prepared the appropriate Council Resolution
for submission by the Mayor to the City Council.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
