Honorable Chairperson and Members of the City Council:
During 1974, the Northern States Power Company paid $12,000.00 to the City to
finance the City`s costs incurred relative to utility shut-off's by Northern States
Power Campany.
$5,766.13 of these funds were spent in 1974. No request was made to encumber
these funds for similar expenses during 1975 and therefore these funds were closed
to Fund Balance - Not Dedicated.
Hearings on utility shut-off's are continuing to be held in 1975 and this
budget revision would restore these funds to the Consumer Affairs appropriation.
As you know this activity is now under the administration of the Director of
the Department of Finance and Management Services.
Res ectfully submitted
La e . Cohen, Mayor
