BE IT ENACTED BY TFiE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1974, Section 471.476, Subdivision 2, is amended to read: Subd. 2. Any such political subdivision providing a general ambialance service pursuant to this section may levy an annual tax over and above any statutory or charter limitation and may also impose reasonable charges for ambulance services in order to finance the cost of such service. Additionally, the �overnin� bodv of anv political subdivision that maintains and operates an emer�encY or paramedic ambulance pro�ram may impose reasonable char�es for such emer�eney or paramedic ambulance services _in order to finance its costs . Any governing body nay appropriate money as necessary from funds received for the purposes of Laws 196g, Chapter ��33, or �rom any surplus in general revenue funds of the political subdivision. Sec. 2. This act is effective upon final enactment . 1
