is granted a permit to install a 47-car parking lot on
property located on the southwest corner of Capp Road and
Hersey Street, more particularly described as follows:
All that part of the 150 foot strip
of land in the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4,
Section 29, Township 29, Range 23, as
conveyed by August K. Barnum and wife
to the St. Paul and Northern Pacific
Railway Company, by deed dated June 8,
1885, filed for record, June 19, 1885,
and duly recorded in Book 135 of Deeds
on Pages 78 and 79, records of said
Ramsey County, Block K, St. Anthony
Park and the strip of land lying between
said Block K and Block 3, Rearrangement

Dear Madam:
This is written in response to the application of McGough Construction
Company for a permit to install a 47-car parking lot on the south-
west corner of Capp Road and Hersey Street. This property is further
described by the legal description on file.
This matter was heard by the Board of Zoning on November 7, 1974. Staff
explained the changes which were requested on the site plan, and said
that a small portion of the lot is located on Hersey Street, which was
not vacated. Letters were read from the South St. Anthony Park Associ-
ation and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority stating they have no
objections to the plans. Revised plans received November 13, 1974,
meet design standards. Staff recommended approval of the permit contin-
gent upon the vacation of Hersey Street.
A motion was made to recommend approval of the permit sub�ect_ to the
vacatio nf uP,-QO�= ��-reor� The motion was seconded and carried unanimously.

All that �art of the 150 foot etrip of land in the SE 1/4 of the
NE 1/4, Section 29, Township 29, RIInge 23, as conveyed by August
K. Aarnum and wife to the St. Paul and Northern Pacific Railway
Company, by deed dated June 8, 1885, filed for record, June 19�

Dear Mrs. Mix:
Attached hereto is a resolution granting the above
mentioned parking lot permit. The Board of Zoning
minutes for November 7, 1974 indicate the Board was
recommending approval with the understanding that
the matter would not be brought before the City
Council until the vacation of that portion of Hersey
Street on which part of the lot is to be built is
approved.
