tenants ; providing for trial by court in certain
cases and giving trials in sueh cases priority;
amending Minnesota Statutes i974, Section 566.07. "
and recommends the same to the Ramsey Gounty Sen ate and House
delegations .

BE IT ENACTED BY TIiE LEGISLATUFiE OF �i'NF STATE OF MINNESO�.PA:
Section 1, riinnesota Statutes 19�4 , Section 566. 0'7 , is
amended to read ;
56b . 07 �NStidER; TRIAL_7 Snbclivision 1. After the return
a� the summons , ai; the time and place appointed therein, if the
- defend�nt appea,r , he m�,y answer the complaint , a.nd all m�.tters
in excuse , jus�tifica�tion, or avoidance of the �llegat:ions thereof
shall be se-t up in tYie answer; and Lhereupon t;he justice shal .l
he��.r and dete.rmine the action, unless he s�ia.l_1 adjour�n the trial
as provided in se c ti.on 566 . 08, bia t:, e i. ther pa.rty may demand a �trial
