1 WHEREAS, the Como Zoological Society, a non-profit organization
2 dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Como Zoo, is
3 holding a golfing tournament benefit on Monday, August 6, 2001;

WHEREAS, several concessionaires and food vendors have generously
offered to assist in this event to further its success; and
WHEREAS, the Society has graciously extended invitations to the
tournament to elected City officials and City staff;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Saint Paul hereby accepts the thoughtful invitations to the event
and appropriates them to the usage of City officials and staff;
and
13 FURTHER RESOLVED, the Council hereby declares a public purpose in
14 the acceptance of invitations in acknowledgment of good work o£
15 the Society in furthering the continued usage and success of the
16 Como Zoo; and
17 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Council expresses its thanks and
18 appreciation to the Society and supporting vendors and
19 concessionaires for the staging of this worthwhile public
20 promotion and benefit.
