AT&T Broadband, has notified the City that it seeks to change the channel line up, including the public and educational access channels, and is targeting the month of September 2001 for this change; WHEREAS, the cable franchise states in Article III Section 300 (h)(3) tttat the company will not change the current channel positions of the public, govemment, regional, or educational access channels unless new locations are mutually ageed upon by the company and city or required by law. WHEREAS, the proposed access channel lineup is: Channel6 - Regional, Channel 14 - Multi-Faith, Channel 15 - Public, Channel 16 - Educational, Channel 18 - Government, Channel 19 - Community Programming, Channel 20 - Intemational; WHEREAS, AT&T Broadband has ageed to reimburse the Designated Entity, Saint Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN), up to $6,000 for its costs to promote the new channel locations and make operational changes to accommodate the new access channel lineup; WHEREAS, AT&T Broadband has also ageed to promote the access channel changes through a notice on customer bills the month the channels are changed and through a bill stuffer, upon request of SPNN, at a later date; RESOLVED that the City agrees to the new access channel lineup as proposed by AT&T Broadband.
