SCOTT DAVIES TO: Members of the City Council FROM: Daniel L. Ficker fli„. SUBJECT: Claim of Ethel Brossard Mrs. Brossard' s claim against the City arose out of an accident that occurred on June 15, 1973 when she tripped and fell at the Ford Parkway branch library. Mrs. Brossard alleged that she fell over a bench that was protruding into an aisle. As a result of the fall, she suffered a fracture of the left hip and incurred hospital and medical expenses in excess of $3000.00. The facts of the accident involve a dispute that could be resolved against the City. Therefore, I would recommend approval of the settlement of the claim in the amount of $675.00.
