Council Resolution Presented By Ruby Hunt Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date WHEREAS, The Mayor has , in writing, directed the Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement , pursuant to Chapter 56 .06 of the St . Paul Legislative Code, to forthwith remove and abate a nuisance to protect the health and safety of the public , at 822 Marshall Ave, in the City of Saint Paul , legally described as follows : Lot 1 , Block 3, Ninninger and Donnelly 's Addn . (07-54500-010-03) WHEREAS, The nuisance consisted of rubbish, clothing and garbage on the exterior areas which was removed by Public Works . WHEREAS, The Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement incurred five hundred forty-nine dollars and eighty cents abating such nuisance; WHEREAS, It appears that the last known record owner of said property is as follows : C . G . Rein Realty, Commerce Building, St . Paul , Minnesota WHEREAS, It appears C . G. Rein Realty has been given notice to be heard at this public hearing pursuant to Chapter 14 of the City Charter; therefore, be it RESOLVED, That pursuant to Chapter 56 .06 of the St . Paul Legislative Code, the costs of abating or removing the nuisance in the amount of five hundred forty-nine dollars and eighty cents are hereby specially assessed against the above described property; and , be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified copy of this assessment to the County Auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the County, and such assessment shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes . As sufficient time did not exist for proper notice ta tho affected premises , the necessary steps to remove and abate the nuisance, � pursuant to 3ection 56.06 of the 3t. Paul Legi�lative Code, were taken. � The costs for the abatement at 822 Marshall Ave. , as described by the Publfc Works Departmont were $549. 80.
