WI-IFsREAS, the City of Saint Paul has applied for a State of Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Cooperative Trail Program grant for
construction of the Swede Hollow - Fourth Street connection, and
WHEREAS, the State DNR has notified the City that it will receive a
matching grant for said trail project in the amount of $50,000.00, and
WHEREAS, said grant will contribute to the matching funds needed for the
City's TEA-21 grant for this project, and
8 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City
9 officials are hereby authorized to execute such agreements with the State of
10 Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as are necessary to accept said DNR
11 trail grant and implement the trail project, and
12 FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Parks and Recreation is hereby
13 authorized to serve as the fiscal agent for the trail project, and

FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon completion, the trail project will be
maintained by the City of Saint Paul, and
EINALL,Y RESOLVED, that upon receipt of said grant agreement the City
Council shall receive a Capital Improvement Budget resolution containing the
recommendation of the Mayoz and the advice of the Long Range Capital
Improvement Budget Committee for approval and adoption.
