in the City of Saint Paul is owned by the Cit� of Saint Paul
and the Eounty of Ramsey; and ;
WHEREAS, the County of Ramsey has requestted that the
City release its interest in this property to the County so
that the property ma.y be used for a proposed �uvenile center
or other public purpose, the release and conv�yance to be at
no additional consideration; and
.
WHEREAS, the Council Finance Committee has considered
this request and has recommended that the Cot�ricil take the
action requested by Ramsey County; now, there�ore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City o$ Saint Paul does
hereby approve and authorize the conveyance by quit claim deed
to the County of Ramsey of the City's 272% unc�ivided interest
in part of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 8, of Ba�il and Guerin' s
Addition., and that the deed contain the restrLCtion that Ramsey
County shall have the use of the property forithe purpose of a
juvenile service center or other public purpose only and that
if these uses are terminated, title to the prq'perty shall revert
without any further action to the City of Sain�t Paul; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City ofjficers are author-
ized to execute and convey this quit claim dee�d to Ramsey County
,

Dear Mrs . Mix;
The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners, pursuant to
Resolution No. 75-1101, requested our office to acquire
three parcels of land necessary for constr�.ction of the
�uvenile service center. In one of the parcels, namely
76 St . Peter Street, the C.ity of St . Paul owns an un-
divided 27 1/2 percent in�erest . I respectfully request
that a Resolution be presented to the St .P�.ul City Council
authorizing the conveyance of the Cityts interest in �-76
St . Peter Street, and further di-recting the AZayor, the
City Clerk, and the Director of Finance to execute the
attached Quit Claim Deed . �

On January 8, 1976, I mailed to Rose Mix, a Quit Claim Deed for the
City� s interest in �76 St . Peter Street, which request was referred
to your Committee on January l5, 19?6. The Quit' Claim Deed did not
contain a full description of the City� s interes�t and I have at-
tached a second Quit Claim Deed, which Deed desc�r3bes the property
exactly as the City� s Torrens Certificate No. 17�.862 describes the
instrument .

or for other public purposes. At the request of the
Committee I have prepared and transmit herewith
resolution authorizing this conveyance.

THIS INDENTURE, Made this day of , 19?6,
between City of Saint Paul, a mun c pa corporation, un er e laws
of the State of Minnesota, party of the first part, and County of
Ramsey, a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, party of
the second pa,rt,
WITPtESSETH, That the said garty of the first part, without
consideration, and pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section �+65•035
does hereby Grant, Bargain, Quit Claim and Convey unto the said
party of the second part, its successors and assigns, Forever, all
the tract of land lying and being in the County of Ramsey and State
of Minnesota, described as follows, to-wit:

In fee simple, 27 1/2� undivided interest of and in the
following described land situated in the County of Ramsey
and State of Minnesota, to-wit:
All that part of Lots five 5), six (6), seven (7) and
eight (8), in Block eight (�) of Bazil and Guerin' s
Addition to St. Paul, according to the recorded plat
thereof on file and of record in the office of the
Register of Deeds in and for the County of Ramsey and
State of Minnesota, described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of the south-
easterly one-third of said Lot 6; thence southeasterly
in a straight line to the southwesterly corner of the
northwesterly one-third of said Lot 7; thence north-
easterly 72.68 feet alon� the southeasterly boundaries
of the northwesterly one-third of said Lot 7 and the
northwesterly one-third of said Lot 8; thence north-
westerly parallel with the lim�e first described to
the northwesterly boundary of the southeasterly one-
third of said Lot 5; thence southwesterly along the
northwesterly boundary of the southeasterly one-
