WHEREAS, Mr. Henry G. Kuitu, Executive Director of the Minneapolis-
St. Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission, has submitted his resignation
effective February 27, 1976, after twenty-three years of dedicated and
aggressive leadership of the Metropolitan Airports Comu�ission, sixteen
of those years as Executive Director; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Henry G. Kuitu has guided and promoted the gtro�th of
air cormnerce in Minnesota through his foresight, his dedication to public
service, and his adherence to the highest standards of professional and
personal conduct; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Henry G. Kuitu negotiated and obtained a compensatory
rate agreement with principal airport users whereby the property tax
levy for the vast costs of airport operation, development, and
capitalization have been eliminated; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Henry G. Kuitu has administered and directed the
prudent growth of the Metropolitan Airports Commission into a $160 million
complex including a major international airport serving eight major
cornmercial air carriers and five secondary airports serving general
aviation; and �
WHEREAS, Mr. Henry G. Kuitu has managed the expansion of Minneapolis-
St. Paul International Airport to its present-day status as an inter-
nationally-admired facility serving over seven million passengers a
year; utilizing the most modern and efficient safety and navigational
equipment; continually seeking new and innovative methods to reduce the
impact of aircraft noise; and ensuring airport operations are made
compatible with its natural and urban environs; so, ther2fore, be it

deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions and wide
achievements made by Mr. Henry G. Kuitu; and be it

to Mr. and Mrs. Henry G. Kuitu for a rewardinga�well-deserved
