WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.17(c) equires new applicants for a
taacicab driver's license to successfully complete a taYicab �ver training.course as a prerequisite
for licensure; and
WHEREAS, § 376.17(d) permits an applican o obtain a provisional operator license
which authorizes the driver to operate until the firs vailable opening in a training class, at
which time the applicant must enroll in and succe sfully complete the class; and
WHEREAS, Jeff Stamnes was issued provisional operator license by the Office of LIEP
and was notified of the taxicab driver tr � course to begin on Febmary 5, 2001, but failed to

INTENT TO REVOKE PROVISIONAL OPERATOR STATUS

Dear Mr. Stamnes:
The Office of License, Inspections and Environxnental Protection has recommended revocation
of your provisional operator status as a tasicab driver based upon your failure to enroll in and
successfully complete a taxicab driver training course, pursuant to Saint Paul legislative Code
§ 376.17(d). Enclosed is a copy of the proposed resolution.
Please take notice that a hearing has been scheduled before the Saint Paul City Council for 5:30
p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 in the City Council Chambers, Third Floor, Saint Paul
City HalURamsey County Courthouse. You will have an opportunity to address the Council at
that time.
