1 WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.17(c) requires new applicants for a
2 tasicab driver's license to successfully compiete a tasicab driver training course as a prerequisite
3 for licensure; and
5 WHEREAS, § 376.17(d) perxnits an applicant to obtain a provisional operator license
6 which authorizes the driver to operate until the first available opening in a training class, at
7 which time the applicant must enroll in and successfully complete the class; and
9 WfIEREAS, Dan Pellowski was issued a provasional operator license by the Office of
10 LIEP and was notified of the taxicab driver training course to begin on February 5, 2001, but

failed to attended and successfully complete the course; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the provisional operator license (license ID# 20000000607) issued to
Dan Peliowski is hereby revoked for failure to enroll in and successfully complete the required
taxicab driver training course.

The Office of License, Inspections and Environmental Protection has recommended revocation
of your provisional operator status as a taxicab driver based upon your failure to enroll in and
successfully complete a taacicab driver training course, pursuant to Saint Paul legislative Code
§ 376.17(d). Enclosed is a copy of the proposed resolution.
Please take notice that a hearing has been scheduled before the 5aint Paul City Council for 5:30
p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 in the City Council Chambers, Third Floor, Saint Paul
City HalllRamsey County Courthouse. You will have an opportunity to address the Council at
that time.
