WHEREAS he City Council by resolution requested the formation of a committee to
study and rep rt on uses for the structure known as the Dahl House; and
WHEREAS he City Council also requested that the Dahl House committee make a
determination on the amount of restoration necessary to render the structure useable
for the reco ended purpose(s) ; and
WHEREAS e Dahl House committee has reported back to the City Council recommending ;•��,
that the City of Saint Paul acquire the Dahl House on its present site and that the r":
structure be sed as an interpretive center dealing with the domestic life of the `"
"common man" f early Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS he committee's report indicates a need for professional assistance in
determining t e amount of restoration needed and the cost figures involved; therefore be it
RESOLVED that the Saint Paul City Council supports the Dahl House committee's
recommendatio to preserve the Dahl House structure on its present site; and be it
FURTHER SOLVED that the City Council thanks the members of the Dahl House,;.�ommittee
for their ser ice; and be it '`��:
FINALLY SOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Mayor and pursuant to S��.on
