2 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul via the Saint Paul Police Department has received $15,000 from the State of
3 Minnesota, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to conduct homicide investigations, and

5 WHEREAS, the Police Department received �15,000 in 1997 and $25,000 in 1998 from the State of Minnesota,
6 Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, for homicide invesfigations that are on-going; and
7
8 WHEREAS, the Police Department desires to establish a 2001 financing and spending plan to cover the costs
9 associated with the homicide invesfigafions, and

11 WI�REAS, The Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that
12 there are available for appropriation funds in excess of those estimated in the 2001 budget; and
