the Departsent of Coe�unity Servicea has perforaed certain tree maintenaace work
for Lhe year 1975, and in accordance with said ordinance the Departesnt of Finasce
and Manage�ent Services has noCifi�d the Citq Council that the total cost of tree
aaintenaace aervices performed in 1975 aill be $b6�,016.56, a copy of said report
being on� file in the office of the City C1lrk aad �ade a part of this resolntioa;
and
�WHERAAS, said ordinsnce requires that the City Gbuncil determins tl�e
portioa of tree maintenance coats Co be paid �ith Citq fcn�ds and astablis�i a date
tor public hearing at which' times tha Council would coasider adopting a levy of
service charges against b4nefited property; naw, therefore, be it
RBSOLVBD, That the Council of the City of Saint �aul does h�raby d�tar-
mine that the aaout�t of the total coat of tree maintenance services that the City
will pay for such tree maintenance work performed during the calendar year, other
tha�t the asount Mhich the City will paq as a benefited property aWner, ie hereby
detersined to be the scm of $331,548.28, and that the total amoant of such tree
sainteaaece services to be paid by �sans of a ssrvice charge is herabq det�rein�d
to be the su� of $331,508.28; •aid asseas�ent being levied at the rate of $O.�i236S7
per assessable �ront foot; and be it

In ccmpliance with Ordinance No. 15358, Council File No. 260889, effeetive
May 14, 1973, the Department of Finance and Mae�agement Services does hereby
inform the City Council that the total estimated cost of services perforaed
during 1975 for TR$E MAINTENANCB, to be charged to the Forestrq Fund, is
$663,016.56, as reported by the Department of Community Services.
It is proposed to assess $331,508.28 against benefited properties, with the
total costs to be financed as follo�s;

Attached for Council coASideration is a Resolution to determine the total
coat for tree c�aint�nance service, the aaoant and rates to be asseased, and
