Wfi�tEAS, A �randum of Agreem�nt betwesn the City of Saint Paul and the
Classified or Unclassified., Confidential or Non-Confidential hipervisory F�ployeea
with no Bargaining Unit A€filiation provide that the City will buy life insurarice
for each member of said group in an amount equal to the nearest, lo�rest $1,000 of
annual salary received 'by each me�nber, less $5,000 which the City a]ready provides
for all City enployees, and
WHFREAS, The City has received bids �om various insurance companies to
provide such insurance, and
WHIItEAS, l�. John Devlin revie�red the tabulation of all such bids arid���deter-
mined tha,t the lowest, responsible bidder to comply with all the provisions of the
specifications wa.s I.D.S. Life Insurance Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and
WHI�EtEAS, The said John Devlin recoaanends that the I.D.S. Life Insuranee
Compan4Y be awarde� the contract to insure the lives of the members of the afore-
mentioned group, and
WHEltEAS, The I.D.S. Life ?xisurance Company present],y insures the PEA II
members with similax life insurance, and
WHFREAS, In their bid of March 17, 1g76, the I.D.S. Life Insuraace Company
agreed to use a combined rate for these two groups of forty-six cents (46¢) per $1,000
life insurance and five cents (5¢) per $1,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insur-
ance, noW therefore, be it
RTSOLV�, That the I.D.S. Life Tnsurance Compa�y be directed to combine the
members of the Classified or Uncla.asified, Confidential or Non-Confidential Supervisory
E�nployees with the PEA II group using the afore-mentioned rates to be paid m4nthly by
the City based on the total am�rant of life insurance in force. This combination of
insuranee to become effective on the first day of Septe�nber, 1976 and continue aceor-
ding to the specifications. The I.D.S. Life Insurance Com�pany is hereby authorized
to take applications or whatever else is necessary to put this i.nsurance into force, and
be it
