1 WHEREAS, neighbors residing on Keston Street between Carter Avenue Commonwealth Avenue do not
2 wish to have their street widened from 26 to 27 feet because the current ' th of the street is an effective traffic
3 calming device and serves to reduce the speeds of automobiles; and ,�
4 WHEREAS, neighbors residing on Keston Street between Carter A"enue and Commonwealth Avenue do not
5 wish to change their street to one-way automotive traffic, nor do `ey wish to change pazking to one side only in
6 order to move vehiculaz h�affic more quickly through their neig, � arhood; and
7 WI�REAS, neighbors residing on Keston Street between F'2'arter Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue have
8 established a close community and take pride in their qui�residential street with slow moving traffic; and
9 WHEREAS, maintaining the width of the Keston Str�t at 26 feet will have no impact on delivery of public
10 safety services; now therefore be it �

11 RESOLVED, that the Public Works Departmen��ikeep the width of Keston Street between Carter Avenue and
12 Commonwealth Avenue at 26 feet with two-w `y traffic and parking on both sides of the street for the Knapp-
13 Hillside Residential Street Vitality Program '
