Review of RFP C3.2� indicates no change to the contract
sum for Gephart Electric, providing the following
conditions are met:
A) An �r�e�s pa� will need to be provided in the new
ceiling for maintenance access to existing
electrical junction boxes. If an access panel is
not provided, we will need to relocate/reroute
existing installations which wi11 result in
additional cost.
B) Fixture Type C1 will be surface mounted on the new
ceiling. If flush mounting is required, we will
need to add a flanged frame to this fixture which
will result in additional cost.
C) There are existing surface mounted conduits on the
wall in this room that will pass through the new
ceiling. We will be leaving them in place. If
these conduits are required to be relocated to a
concealed locatior., it will resulz in additional
cost.
Please review this infonnation and inform me of any
changes that need to be made to this proposal.

Saint Paul Civic Center Expansion
• There has been much confusion on the operation of the roof-top unit for the meeting rooms.
-- The Owner needs to be able to turn the unit on and off from the inside of the building, not the
outside. ln the meeting on 29 August, it was determined a status panel would be installed in
the meeting room back corridor, Room X04.
This has turned into a PR probiem. The Owner thinks they will be getting something which
may or may not have b�en specified. A remote control was provided with the unit, Mc4uay
#860-6549158-05, Honeywell #W950F 1069 Status Panei. This is on site and in the
possession of Frerichs or their sub Daody.
On Friday, the Doody sheet metal worfcer indicated the remote should be installed to t�eip
rnaintain the life of the unit. 7oday, he indicated the unit is programmed to be all automatic
once it is turned on. What is correct? The Owner wants: the remote instailed in Room X04.
If running wire to it is additionai, that WILL BE PAID on a�ime_& N�a.��basis. Since the
shops show the remote panei, I assume they are included in the base bid. The remote anel
MUST be installed today or you must send someone to turn the unit on. No Owner instruction
has been given to the Owner and they WILL NOT turn it on. A meeting wiil be held in those
rooms on Wednesday.
