This study included an evaluation using the Caty's QES job evaluation sys[em and determined that the Parks Worker II classification be created. Cti�arenfly, the Division of Pazks and Recreation utilizes positions in the Park Aide (staiting pay: $7.24/liour) and Parks VJorker (hourty Tate: $17.891hour) classes to perform most of the manual labor and custodian workat its parks, parkways, golf courses, recreation centers, and other structures. The study conducted by the Office of Hnman Resources deteinvned that the Department of Pazks and Recreation could work more efficienfly witit the creation of a class vehich }iad respons�bilities and rate of pay that lie between these two classes. *Note: The Division of Pazks and Recreariott aLso employs individuals in the staned Groundsworker class (Starting pay: $16.86/how). About 10 years ago, the Groundsworker class was starred when the Pazks Worker class was created. The main difference between the two classes is that the Pazks Worker class requires a CDL and the Groundsworker does not. The Division of Pazks and Recreation has requested a study to determine the appropriate classification levels of positions so that the department can work even more efficiently. Pazks and Recreation believes there is a need for a new class which would be compensated at a lower rate than the Parks Worker and the starred Crroundsworker classes but lrigher than the Park Aide. Parks and Recrearion has provided the Office of Human Resources with a recommended job description and job profile for the proposed positions. Cti�arenfly, the Division of Pazks and Recreation utilizes positions in the Park Aide (staiting pay: $7.24/liour) and Parks VJorker (hourty Tate: $17.891hour) classes to perform most of the manual labor and custodian workat its parks, parkways, golf courses, recreation centers, and other structures. About 10 years ago, the Groundsworker class was starred when the Pazks Worker class was created. The main difference between the two classes is that the Pazks Worker class requires a CDL and the Groundsworker does not. The Division of Pazks and Recreation has requested a study to determine the appropriate classification levels of positions so that the department can work even more efficiently. Pazks and Recreation believes there is a need for a new class which would be compensated at a lower rate than the Parks Worker and the starred Crroundsworker classes but lrigher than the Park Aide. Parks and Recrearion has provided the Office of Human Resources with a recommended job description and job profile for the proposed positions.
