WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Transportation for
the State of Minnesota has caused to be prepared plans, speciat provi-
sions and specifications for the improvement of Trunk Highway Nos. 102,
108, and 109, renumbered as Trunk Highway Nos. 61 , 212, and 212, within
the corporate limits of the City of St. Paul, from 300 feet west of
Mounds Boulevard to Earl Street in St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, Said plans are on file in the Office of the Department of
Transportation St. Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled and identified
as S.P. 6221-2� (61=102) , S.P. 6228-36 (212=108) and S.P. 6229-21 (212=109),
and
WHEREAS, Said special provisions are on file in the Office of the
Department of Transportation, St. Paul , Minnesota, being marked, labeled
and identified as S.P. 6221-28 (61=102) , S.P. 6228-36 (212=108) and
S.P. 6229-21 (212=109) , and which, together with the Minnesota Depart-
ment of Highways Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, dated
Janua ry 1 , 1972, as amended by Minnesota Department of Highways Supple-
mental Specifications for Highway Construction, dated April 1 , 1976,
will govern, and which are on file in the OffiEe of the Carmissioner of
Department of Transportation, constitute the specifications for said
improvement of Trunk Highway Nos. 102, 108, and 109, renumbered as Trunk
Highway Nos. 61 , 212, and 212, and
WHEREAS, Copies of said plans and special provisions as so marked,
labeled and identified are also on file in the Office of the Director of
Public Works, and
WHEREAS, The term, said plans and special provisions, as hereinafter
used in the body of this Resolution will be deemed and intended to mean,
refer to and incorporate the plans and special provisions in the foregoing
recitals particularly identified and described, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Transportation de-
sires in the interest of public safety that any and all parking of
vehicles, if such parking is permltted within the corporate limits of
the City of St. Paul on said Trun.k Highway Nos. 102, 108, and 109, re-
numbered as Trunk Highway Nos. 61 , 212, and 212, will be parallel with
the curb adjacent to the highway and will be at least 20 feet from any
crosswalk, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That said plans and special provisions for the improve-
ment of Trunk Highway Nos. 102, 108, and 109, renumbered as Trunk Highvuay
Nos. 61 , 212, and 212, within the corporate limits of the City of St.
Paui, be and hereby are approved, and be it further
RESOLVEO, That the City of St. Paul does hereby agree to require
the parking of all vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the
corporate limits of said City, on said Trunk Highway Nos. 102, 108, and
tOg, renumbered Trunk Highway Nos. 61 , 212, and 212, will be paraltel
with the curb adjacent to the highway, and at teast 20 feet from any
crosswalks on all public streets intersecting said tru�k highway, and
be it further
RES�LVED, That the elevations and grades as shown in said plans and
special provisions are hereby approved and consent is hereby given to
any and all changes in grade occasioned by the construction of Trunk
Highway Nos. 102, 108, and 10g, renumbered Trunk Highway Nos. 61 , 212,
and 212, in accordance with said plans and special provisions.

E. Seventh St. is designated a trunk highway and e Minnesota Department of �
Transportation is proposing to construct a bitumi us overlay on this street.
Work would begin in May, and the contract allows days for completion. Thts
wi11 be done at no cost to the City.
