WHEREAS, the St. Paul-Ramsey Arts and Science Council has
served as the primary fund raising and organizational institution
for the advancement of arts and science programs in the City of
St. Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Arts and Science Council, through its six member
agencies, provides a wide variety of cultural and educational
services; and
_ WHEREAS, these services and activities sponsored by the Arts
and Science Council promote the cultural awareness and involvement
of the citizens of St. Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Arts and Science Council' s programs and policies
have gained national attention and have contributed to St. Paul' s
reputation as a top area for the development of the arts and
sciences; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Paul hereby
proclaims the week of March 15 - March 22 as Arts and Science Week
in St. Paul, in recognition of the many successes which the Arts
and Science Council and its six member agencies have achieved.
