�IHEREAS, Th.e St. Paul-Ramsey County Criminal Justice Advisory
Commission was established jointly by City Council Resolution,
File No. 254195 , May 25 , 1971, and by Ramsey County Board
Resolution #9-675 , May 24 , 1971; and
WHEREAS , The positions of Director and Chief Planner were
established November 20 , 1971, by City Council Ordinance
No. 14963 , to be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, The Chairman of the Commission is designated within
such County Resolutions as the Mayor of the City of St. Paul-
Chairman of the Ramsey County Board and is further authorized to
select its membership, select supporting staff, and apply for
Federal funds to finance the staffing and organization; and a
WHEREAS , The project has operated under the Administration t
of the Mayor, and the Mayor is no longer the Chairman of the
County Board; now therefore be it
RESOLV�D, That the Mayor o� the City of St. Paul and Chairperson
of the County Boasd serve as co-chairpersons of the Criminal Justice
Advisory Committee which Committee title shall hereby be changed to
Y Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the project continue to ope�ate under
the administration of the Mayor and that the Coordinator report
directly to the Mayor' s �hief a�.dministrative ci'fficer or the Mayor' s
designee ; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That tlie staff positions be included within
the classified service of the City of St. Paul, and that one half
the local match for the operating budget of the Coordinating Council
be apportioned to the program through each the City budget, and the
budget of Ramsey County.
