Dear Mayor Latimer:
RE: Uni-Dale Shopping Center Mortgage to H.E.L.P and
Kraus-Anderson, Inc.
After a number of ineetings with H.E.L.P. , Kraus-Anderson, Inc. ,
and Jerry Isaacs, and after a review of the plans, specifications,
cost estimates, proposed operating statements and considerable
changes in the ownership agreements, we feel that we have arrived
at a point that it now seems possible to arrange first mortgage
financing so that this project can proceed.
I propose to place a first mortgage on subject property and then
propose to ask local financial institutions, such as 3 or 4 banks
and 3 or 4 savings and loans, to participate in this mortgage.
I have been in touch with some of the financial institutions and
I don't think that it would be a problem to get them to participate.
It is my opinion that this is now a viable program and that we ought
to be able to put it together in the next 30 days.
I will personally make every effort to bring this matter to a
satisfactory conclusion.
