01-480Council File # n 4�4 �'p Green Sheet # 1 O� p Q j RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNES07A a� Presented Refened To Committee Date 1 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING SURPLUS DISTRIBUTTON FBOM WORKERS' COMPENSATION 2 REINSiJRANCE ASSOCIAT'ION TO SA1NT PAUL REGIONAL WATER SERVICES WI�REAS, the Workers' Compensation Reinsurance Association (WCRA) Board of Directors has approved a surplus distribution of $310 million (excess inveshnent earnings and claims experience) to its members and Minnesota workers' compensation insurance policyholders, and WFIEREAS, the WCRA has distributed $1.23 billion in surplus funds since 1492, including the current $310 million distribution, and WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Regional Water Services has been a self-insured member of the WCRA since 1982; and r 10 VJfIEREAS, the WCRA. has previously retwned a swplus distribution to the Saint Paul Regional Water 11 Services of $166,848; and, 12 WHEREA5, Saint Paul Regional Water Service's shaze ofthe current WCRA distribution is $164,373.81 which 13 when combined with previous WCRA surplus distributions to the city equals $331,221.81; be it therefare 14 RESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul accepts the current surplus distribution of $164,373.81 on behalf of the 15 Saint Paul Regional Water Services, and directs the directar of the Financial Services Office to deposit said 16 funds in the Water Utility Enterprise Pund.
