An administrative Resoulution approving the terms and
conditions of a 197? Memorandum of Agreement between
the City of St. Paul and the International Union of Elevator
Constructors, Local No. 9.
WHEREAS, the Council, pursuant to the provisions of Section_12. 09
of the St. Paul City Charter and the Public Employees Labor Relations Act
of 1971, as amended, recognizes the International Union of Elevator Constructors,
Local No. 9, as exclusive representative for those classes of positions within
the City of St. Paul certified by the Bureau of Mediation Services under Case
No. 73-PR-475-A for the purpose of ineeting and negotiating. the terms and
conditions of employment for all full-time personnel in the classes of positions
as set forth in the Agreement between the City and the exclusive representatives
hereinabove referenced; and
WHEREAS, the City, through designated representatives, and the exclusive
representatives have met in good faith and negotiated the terms and conditions of
' employment for the period July 1, 1977, through June 30, 1978, for such personnel
as are set forth in the Agreement between the City of St. Paul and the exclusive
repre sentative s; and
WHEREAS, a 1977 Agreement has been reached which includes a wage adjust-
ment retroactive to July 1 , 1977; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Memorandum of Agreement, cited above, dated
as of the effective date of this Resolution, between the City o£ St. Paul and the
International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local No. 9, on file i.n the office
of the City Clerk, is hereby approved, and the authorized administrative officials
of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement on
behalf of the City.

P.emorandtun of Agreement by and between the City of Saint Paul �nd the International
Union of Elevator Constructors, Local No. 9.
In settlemerit of lgj7 negotiations, the parties hereto have agreed as follows:
(1) Except as herein modified, the Agreement between the parties,
entered into February 22, 1�7, shall be the basis of the
forthcoming Labor Agreement.
(2) Appendix C of said Agreement shall be replaced with Appendix
C which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
(3) It is also agreed that the duration of the 19'(7 Agreement
shall be through June 30, 1978, and that said termination
date shall be set forth in Section 30.2 of the new Collective
Bargaining A�reement.
(�+) The 1977 wage rates set forth in Appendix C shall become
effective on the dates designated therein.
It is understood that the abov�e settlement shall be reco�mended by the City Negotiator,
but is subject to approval by the City Administration end adoption by the City
Council and the Civil Service Commission.

following class of positions who are receiving the Fringe Benefits
listed in Article 12.2 shall be:
