WHEREAS, 1977 has been designated "Celebration 75"
by the Lubavitcher Hasidic Movement in the United States
in honor of the 75th birthday of world religious leader
Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson; and
WHEREAS, the Twin Cities Jewish corr�nunity will be
honoring the Lubavitch House of St. Paul and saluting
the world leader of Lubavitch, Rabbi Schneerson, in a
special program-on Tuesday, August 16; and
WHEREAS, the Lubavitch House has gained national
recognition for its Bais Chana Women's Institute and
other programs which have provided guidance and wisdom
to thousands of Jewish women from this country and
throughout the world; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Council , on behalf of itself
and the people of St. Paul , recognizes the continuing
effort of the Lubavitch House to teach wisdom,
understanding, and knowledge; and. �e it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Council joins Congressional
and state leaders in congratulating Rabbi Schneerson on
his 75th birthday and extends to him this Council 's most-
sincere best wishes for continued success in Mis lifelong
efforts to .provide guidance and inspiration to the Jewish
comnuni ty.
