WHEREAS, The Silver Coaches, Inc. , d/b/a the North End
Depot, located at 1638 Rice Street in the City of Saint Paul,
holds an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License, and has ma.de
application for a tavern license pursuant to Chapter 311 of
the Saint Pau1 Legislative Code; and
WHEREAS, concern was expressed at the public hearing
required for tavern licenses by the neighbors that various
problems connected with the operation of the present establi:sh-
ment would be worsened by the issuance of a tavern license;
and
WEiEREAS, the licensee and applicant for a tavern license
indicated to the License Committee that he would meet with the
neighbors and make every ef�ort to work out the problems that
might occur or exist, that he would provide supervision and/or
' surveillan.ce over the parking lot at closing hours, and that
' ._ he would provide a fence or barrier to prevent automobiles from
- using a former alleyway; and
WHERL�AS, the License Committee believes that these assurances, .
if carri�d out, will substantially alleviate any problems that
might result from the granting of a tavern license; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, that the application of the Silver Coaches, Inc. ,
for a tavern license at 1638 Rice Street is hereby granted,
effective upon publication of this Resolution as required by
the Charter.
