An Administrative Ordinance approvi.ng the terms and conditions
of a "Memorandum of Un dertanding" applying to employees employed
� in the title of Stage Technician.
WHEREAS, The City through its designated representatives has met and
conferred in order to establish the economic terms and conditions of employ-
ment for the calendar years of 1976-1977 for such personnel as are set forth
in the "Memorandum of Understandi.ng"; now, therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section l. That the "Memorandum of Understanding" dated as of the
effective.date of this Ordinance, on file in the office of the City Clerk, is
hereby approved, and the authorized administrative officials of the City are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said "Memorand.um of Understanding"
on behalf of the City.
Section 2. That all of the terms and conditions set forth in said Memoran-
dum of Understanding shall take force and effect retroactively to the dates
indicated in the Memorand.um of Understanding and in accord.ance with the
expressed intent of the agreement of this Council contai�.ed in Council Fi le
Numbers 266410 and 268207.
Section 3. That any other Ordinance, rule or regulation in force when
said agreement takes effect, inconsistent with any provision of the terms and
conditions of said agreement, is hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after its passage, approval, and publication.

MEMORAIv'DUM OF UNDERSTANDING ���� �
The Memorandum of Understanding shall apply to the employees of the City of
Saint Paul employed in the title of Stage Technician.
The employees employed in the aforementioned title shall receive the following
salary and fringe improver:ents:
l. Wa�es:
a. Effective January 3, 1g76, a salary increase of 6°�, (six percent).
b. Effective January 1, 1977, a salary increase of 5°� (five percent) .
2. The E�ployer will Frovide for employees who retire after the time
of approval of this Memorandum and until such employees reach
sixty-five (65) years of age such health insurance benefits and
life insurance benefits as are provided by the E1�'LOYER for such
employees.
3• The City agrees to contribute the cost of hospitalization and medical
coverage or $36.85 per month, whichever amount is less, for each
employee who is eligible for such coverage. In �ddition, for each
employee who selects Dependents Coverage, the City will contribute
one-half (2) the cost of such Dependents Coverage or $42.43 per
month, whichever amount ia less. These c�ntrib utions shall be paid
to the City's Group Health and Welfare Plan. Any increases in these
costs shall be paid by the employee.
4. The City agrees to contribute the cost for $5,000 of Life Insurance
Coverage for each emplayee who is eligible for such coverage or $2.95
per month, whiche�•er amount is less. Ti:is contribution shall be paid
to the City's Group Health and Welfare Plan. Any increase in this
cost shall be paid by the employee.

This adjustment"contaias the same prdvisions as the Arbitration'Award �raated to our Blue
Collar Supervisory Group. This is a 6% salary intcrease for :i97b and.a 5�0 $alary.increase
for 1977 as well as the dollar uz�it oa the Cityta coatributian tcyward �€ea��h & ��lfare. �'
This Memorandum also includes the early retiree insurance pxovision�which`.was gra.aited to
the Blue eollar Group in 1975.
The title•qf Stage Technicia,n was in the Blue Collar Gr��p, bnt was removed from the grou�
because of the titlets hietorical rela�ionship with the Stage Empioyees Local 20. The Stage � :
Ernployees Local 20 aaw informally repreaexrts this title, however the adjuetments contiaue
to be the same as that granted to the Blue Collar Group.
