WHEREAS, the City, RIP 35-E and other plaintiffs in May 1972 did
request that the Minnesota State Highway Department prepare an environ-
mental impact statement on the portion of 35-E between the Lexington
Avenue Bri.dge and the $tate Capitol Approach; and
� WHEREAS, at this time that environmental impact statement has not
been finished ; and
WHEREAS, it still may be a substantial period of time before that
environmental impact statement is finished and the hearings held and
campleted on it, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Saint Paul City Council urges the
Minnesota State Senate to resolve this problem which has widespread social,
economic and environmental ramifications throughout the City, the County,
and the Metropolitan Area; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Ma.yor and the Saint Paul City Council will
coopera�e. to the fullest extent possible in seeing that the matter is
satie£actorily res�lved.
