WHEREAS, the office of the City Attorney represents the Port
Authority of the City of Saint Paul; and
4JHEREAS, there is a judgment in favor of the Port Authority
of the City of Saint Paul in the ma.tter of Port Authority of the
City of Saint Paul v. KOL, Inc. , M.P.E. , Inc. , William H. Oliver,
George N. Nelson, Otto Halstensen, and William E. Somdahl, in the
amount of $34,318.89, together with interest thereon at the rate
of 6% per annum from and after December l, 1976; and
WHEREAS, defendant William H. Oliver is a resident of Douglas
County, Nebraska.; and
WHEREAS, in order to register a foreign judgment in Douglas
County, Nebraska pursuant to § 25-1587 to 25-15, 104, R.S. Nebr.
1943, as amended, a petition for Registration of Foreign Judgment
f iled by an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of
Nebraska. is required; and
WHEREAS, no one in the City Attorney's office is licensed to
practice law in the State of Nebraska; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Attorney' s office is hereby authorized
under Chapter XI § 178 of the City Charter to retain special counsel
for the purpose of transcribing the above entitled judgment in
Nebraska at maximum compensation of $ 60.00 per hour.
