RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
authorizes and directs the proper City officials to execute a
Lease Agreement with the Minnesota Opera Company for the use of
the City' s Masonic Temple by the Company for the purpose of storing
sets and scenery from its productions; said lease being for the
consideration of One Dollar and subject to said Company' s filing
of the proper insurance indemnifying the City.

L E A S E
AN AGREEMENT, Dated this day of ,
1977, by and between the CITY OF SAINT PAUL, Minnesota, herein-
after referred to as "City, " and the MINNESOTA OPERA COMPANY,
hereinafter referred to as "Company" ;
WITNESSETH:
THE CITY AND COMPANY MUTUALLY AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City, for One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and
valuable consideration, hereby leases to the Company a part of
that City-owned facility known as the Masonic Temple for an in- �
definite period commencing on or about November 15, 1977. Either
,
party may cancel this lease by giving the other ninety (90) days'
written notice.
2. That the Company -agrees to use the Masonic Temple for the
purpose of storing sets and scenery from its productions.
3. That the Company shall provide for such cleanup and jani-
torial work as needed to restore the Masonic Temple to the
condition it was in prior to the use authorized hereunder.
4. That the Company will coordinate its program and efforts
with the City' s property manager to provide for the safety ot its
workers in the Masonic Temple and the security of the building
during the term of this agreement.

5. That the Company will at all times during the use of the
Masonic Temple save and hold the City harmless from any and all
claims of whatever kind or nature that may arise from any persons
who may suffer injury ar death because of coming onto the prem-
ises of the Masonic Temple as part of the Company' s occupancy.
In order to give this indemnification full force and effect, the
Company agrees to provide, at its own expense, a policy of insur-
ance naming the City as a co-insured thereon, and reflecting
bodily injury and death limits of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500, 000.00) per �erson and One Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($l,.�b0,000.00) per occurrence. Additionally, the insur- .
ance shall reflect property damage liability limits of Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) .
IN WITNESS HEREOF, The parties have set their hands the date
first written above and to be inserted by the City' s Director of
the Department of Finance and Management Services.
